Ives Selected to Elite Team

Volleyball season may be over for most players but not for sophomore Callie Ives. Ives was selected to be an alternate member to the Texas All-State Volleyball team.
“It’s a great accomplishment and it feels good,” Ives said. She was selected after being nominated by Coach Armstrong.
“She’s a beast and its cool that she’s getting recognized for her hard work,” JV team member Sandra Villa said.
Ives does not just excel in volleyball. Last year as a freshman Ives won 1st place in long jump at state. She was also a member of the varsity softball team.
“Hopefully next year I will be on the team, not just an alternate,” Ives said.
