NILE MILLER – Editor-in-Chief

My name is Nile Miller and I’m the editor-in-chief for the AHS RoundUp this year. Writing has always been one of my passions, and I have always wanted to do something like this. I love being able to translate the world around me into words. I also enjoy seeing the opinions and writing styles of the other people on the newspaper staff. Some of my other hobbies include reading, learning languages, and playing the piano.

Steph-o Williamson- Staff Writer

My name is Stephen Dean Williamson, people call me Steph-o. (stEve-Oh)
I’m a senior this year and I’m loving it! I’m a feature/News writer for the AHS roundup. About me: um… I play guitar, sing, play drums, do Theater, debate, do poetry, and I don’t like to read. This is my first year in journalism and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

KIRA CABALLERO- Staff Writer

Kira Caballero. Pretty straight forward for all of those who don’t know me. I am real shy when you first meet me, but after awhile I can be a great friend. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I have a passion for film editing. One day my name will be well known, so whatever you, don’t forget it. I plan on consuming the California scene and go to Musician’s Institute for one of the many years I will be in school for film. Sharks, in my opinion, will forever be on the top of the food chain because they are beautiful. Bernardo Ruiz is the greatest person I will ever know and love. My Jeep Cherokee is my pride and joy. Newspaper moves way too fast for my procrastinating pace, but I think I can take the challenge.

Daniela Huefner- Staff Writer

Hey! I’m Daniela Huefner! Some may know me from choir or other classes but here you know me as the reporter. I will do my best to give you awesome features and informative news stories. If you see me coming with a pen and some paper, don’t run. Because if you do, I’ll write about it… maybe.

MAHAILY ROGERS- Staff Writer

Well I’m Mahaily Rogers. I’m a two year journalism student. Luckily I haven’t been stuck in this town my whole life. I moved here in 7th grade from an itty bitty town in Missouri that you most defiantly have not heard of. When I’m not working on the newspaper I’m practicing basketball and singing in choir. If I’m not doing one of those things then I’m probably reading. I firmly believe that nerds are cool!!! I’m really looking forward to working on the newspaper this year and making it as amazing as possible.

JESSICA ESTRADA- Staff Writer

Hi I’m Jessica Estrada but I go by Jess. I am 16 years old and a staff writer for the AHS Roundup. This is my first year in journalism and I’m enjoying it very much. I love the students that I’m working with this year and I believe we can make this year a memorable one for everyone. I hope to get some good stories going this year and keep you entertained and up to date with everything that’s going on with all the schools and with all the local exciting news here and around Andrews. Thanks for all the love and support we’ve been receiving from everyone in the community. Keep yourself posted and Enjoy!

NAOMI CHAPMAN- Staff Writer

Hey everyone! I’m Naomi and I’m a staff writer for the Andrews High paper aka The Roundup!!!!!! This means I’m always watching and finding out what’s important to our student body. I’m opinionated but I’ll try not to shove anything down your throat. I got in Newspaper after I was thrown into the competition in Wink and did surprisingly well and had a blast. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I used to write short stories as a kid. It’s an honor to work on this paper and I can’t wait to keep y’all informed and aware. My other activities include Choir, Theatre, UIL Social Studies, Prose and Poetry, and playing the piano competitively.

BAILEY EASON- Staff writer

HEY! I’m Bailey Eason and I am a reporter/staff writer for the Andrews High School newspaper or as we like to call it The Roundup. I am a sophomore this year and am new to AHS. Though I miss my old home, Pennsylvania, I am taking to Andrews pretty quickly. I enjoy listening to music of any kind, and love to have a good time. Writing stories has always been a passion of mine so safe to say I am expecting to really enjoy being a part of the staff this year, and hope you will enjoy all the stories I write throughout the year. This year I hope to write some really interesting stories about things that are going on around the world, to keep you up-to-date and get your personal opinions on issues both worldwide and local.
